THE TEXAS STATE COON HUNTERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
PURPOSE and CREED

The purpose of the Texas State Coon Hunters Association (TSCHA) is to promote the coon dogs of Texas for shows, hunting, chasing and using as we now and our forefathers before us enjoyed without interference from any source other than existing statutes and these may be questioned. The purpose of this organization is also to protect all hunters and dog activities from any and all efforts to enforce new legislation on them and to make known that there may be legislation already passed and in effect that might be contrary to the beliefs of the members of this organization. We will not give any quarter or take one step backward as far as authoritative action against coon dogs or hunting is concerned.  

We are united to retain those personal freedoms that guarantee us the right to pursue and enjoy this sport. This organization will be aimed at political strength through members and will not interfere with anyone's hunting. Each club and its members will retain its own identity and will control its own functions. But THE TEXAS STATE COON HUNTERS ASSOCIATION, INC. will act a "guardian" of all clubs combined. When one club is in danger and having external problems, THE TEXAS STATE COON HUNTERS ASSOCIATION, INC. will pitch in to protect it and help it solve its problems.   United together through good sportsmanship, all hunters will benefit from each other.
